We are thrilled to announce that GROW now supports ASTR holders, making it easier for them to enjoy ASTR staking through our services.
Check out the details below and try ASTR staking on GROW!
Step 1. Create ASTR Wallet
For depositing ASTR, you should create an ASTR wallet first.
1. Open the GROW app, and click the [Deposit] button in the Total Asset box.
2. Click on the Select Coin field, and select [ASTR].
3. Click on the [Create Deposit Address] button.
Now you have created an ASTR deposit address to which you can send ASTR. *Please note that ASTR switches to the Auto Stake upon wallet creation.
Step 2. Depositing Tokens
Please deposit ASTR in your wallet.
Please ensure that you input the correct deposit address when sending funds to your GROW account. These deposit addresses will only accept funds from the corresponding cryptocurrency. Due to the nature of blockchain technology, you may lose access to your funds if you send a non-corresponding cryptocurrency or if the deposit address is not input correctly.
Funds in your ASTR account do not earn rewards by default (unlike GROW Flexible Earn accounts). To earn rewards on ASTR, you must stake your tokens.
Let’s follow the steps below to stake ASTR.
Step 3. Staking Tokens
Now that you have deposited ASTR into your GROW account, you can stake ASTR tokens and start earning rewards from the Astar network. GROW takes zero fees or commissions from Astar network rewards, so you can enjoy 100% of the proceeds.
In addition, as per the network policy, the minimum staking amount for ASTR is 500 ASTR.
1. On the main page, press the [Total Asset] box, and click on the [Staking] tab to load your [ASTR] wallet.
2. Click on [Adjust Stake], and select the number of ASTR tokens that you would like to stake. You can input the amount or use the slider for convenience.
Please note that you must always have at least one unstaked ASTR available to cover network transaction costs. These transaction costs are incurred directly from the ASTR network and are independent of GROW.
3. Press [Apply Changes] to stake your selected amount of ASTR.
Now you have submitted an ASTR Staking Request. The request will be processed in approximately one minute.
How to unstake ASTR
If you have less than 500 ASTR remaining at the time of unstaking, the process may not work properly. If you wish to proceed with the unstaking, please ensure that you have more than 500 ASTR remaining in your account, or unstake the entire amount. 1. Adjust the slider or input the amount of ASTR that you would like to remain staked. If you want to completely unstake ASTR from GROW, move the Slider to Min or enter 0 manually.
2. Press [Apply Changes] and click [YES] button to complete the Unstaking request.
Congratulations, you have submitted an ASTR unstaking request.
Please note that, as per the Astar network rules, the process of unstaking ASTR may take up to 10 days from the time of the request.
How to claim ASTR staking rewards
Through GROW, you can earn two types of rewards on your staked tokens. This section will cover the process for claiming ASTR rewards manually.
Please note that ASTR switches to Auto Stake upon wallet creation. If you choose to turn off the auto staking status, please be aware that a transaction fee may occur at that time.
1. On the ‘ASTR’ page, [Claim] on the Reward box. Please note that Claim is only possible when Auto Staking is turned off
2. After reviewing the Reward Amount (ASTR) and Estimated max. fee (ASTR), press [Claim] to continue.
Congratulations, you have claimed the Reward (ASTR) on your staked ASTR. You can confirm the details of claimed rewards on the Reward tab.
All actions requiring transactions on the ASTR network will use a small amount of ASTR for the network fee, and claiming reward is not an exception. Whenever you claim the accumulated ASTR, you need to pay the network fee. That’s the reason why GROW sets the auto staking.
How to turn off Auto Stake
When creating an ASTR wallet, the network's policy automatically activates 'Auto Stake.' To claim rewards manually, you should first turn off Auto Stake.
Click the [Auto Stake] button at the top right corner.
Select [Auto Staking On] and click the [Save Changes] button.
